Ajay Kelkar is an Entrepreneurial business leader with 28 years of experience in Start-Up company creation & General management. A Certified Professional Coach (ACTP), accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). A strong believer of the maxim, that companies grow when people grow. Deep experience of using Mentoring & coaching to help entrepreneurs build organizations for the long term.
Has extensive experience of starting a company as a concept & taking it to a Multi-million-dollar Revenue with over 1000 employees. Experienced in driving change, coaching people, building processes, and driving performance.
He has recently launched an Educational Technology company called Clevered, which focuses on Lifelong learning solutions. This venture has a strong focus on Mentorship as a key tool for lifelong learning.
Over the last 12 years, he has co-founded a unique Customer marketing company called Hansa Cequity. The venture has grown to a multi-million-dollar Revenue with over 1000 employees across five offices. Earlier he was the Chief Marketing Officer for Shoppers’ Stop (one of India’s leading Department store retail chains) & was part of the Retail Management team. He was an active member of the Intercontinental group of department stores (IGDS) and was invited by IGDS to share his experience for a variety of Retail conferences. Post that he was the Chief Marketing Officer at HDFC Bank (Asia’s most profitable retail bank), where he led the bank's marketing team on the pioneering path of data-led marketing analytics.
He is a Trustee at an NGO called Antarang Foundation that works with socially and financially disadvantaged youth in the age group of 16-24 years. Antarang helps such youth to explore career options most suited to them based on their interests, aptitudes, and realities, trains them in job readiness skills and then connects them to employment or educational opportunities. As a part of the NGO initiatives Antarang runs a mentorship program for disadvantaged youth.
